Hairs cut! :-)

From this...

To this...

Maddie pointed out every "boy cut" short do there was in the book! She pointed to her ears when we asked her how short she really wanted it...

I compromised with this cut... It was too short for my liking but is quickly growing on me!

Abigail asked for the same cut, but it ended up a little shorter than before.

She's getting so big! The next cut will be angled! :-)

Dare to Dream

The Lakeland center was promoting "Princesses on Ice" and invited little tikes to a princess party! It was very cute and the girls had a Royal Ball! :-)

Walking up, listening to a girl sing the Rapunzel song... Fascinated!

Hugs!

Daddy showed up for the princess event!

They are showing off their tiaras and "princess glamour!" (face glitter)

Horse drawn carriage ride, with their own personal body guard! :-)

Trying to make Daddy a princess! (what a good sport!)

Picture with a real princess... Or a chick going to prom... I'm not sure! :-)

Clean!

Spotty watching me dance around the kitchen! :-) I WILL have a clean house by the end of the day, but I must dance to achieve it!
I wonder what she thinks...! :-)

Rain is a good thing!

So, I try to be so careful about the music my girls hear. I listen to the words and decide if it's something I want them repeating. However, I am not perfect and one song I really like the beat of is "Rain is a good thing" by Luke Bryan.
Part of the chorus says, "rain makes corn, corn makes whiskey... Whiskey makes my baby, feel a little frisky!"
Well, much to my enjoyment, Abigail's version is much better! It goes like this, "rain makes corn, corn makes biscuit, biscuit makes my baby feel a little frisket!" Lolol!
When asked what that means, she very sweetly says, "I don't know!" :-)
Cracks me up! :-)

The song is #8 on the blog music if you want to sing along with Abigail's version!

School room stage 1

Getting rid of the old carpet... Gross!!! Girls dying to help (for about 1.5 minutes!)

My main job... Not good on the back!

What the girls ended up doing! :-)

OVERWHELMING!!! Where to start?

Figured it out! Looks good! Done!!!

Pooped! I have one amazing man, I tell you that! He definitely takes care of his girls! I couldn't do what I need to without him!

School Room

Okie Dokie (heehehe, does anybody say that anymore?) :-)

So, for those of my 2 readers that care... we are working on the new school room today! :-)
Last week, I pulled up the carpet in our Florida room and pressure washed the walls - which was fun!
The plan for today is to get some nice, new (clean!) carpet to lay down, and if there is any energy left, we will build the room divider (aka Ikea bookcase), put the pics on the wall, and possibly load the room with goodies - tables, chairs, books, etc! However, there is a great need for an AC unit also, so we should do that first before adding anything with paper in it! :-)
I'm excited to see the finished product. I will take pics of the room now and post later!

Happy Monday! I'm off to prep for the homeschooling adventure we are about to jump head first in to!

Fun shirts!

The girls and I have been working on making some fun shirts for the Summer! They got to pick out the design and fabric/or paint. I prefer the reverse appliqué, but they wanted to paint everything! (of course, bc they actually got to participate and call it their own - they didn't get to do much hands on with the sewing machine!) ;-)
Maddie's shirts are first, then Ab's. (Maddie is wearing the butterfly today - I made her take it off for a picture!) ha!

When I realized the paint was actually harder to mess up than the sewing, I decided to try one for me with paint... Not too bad!
